On the occasion of “Created Time,” the Third Ecumenical Music and Prayer Meeting titled “Listen to the Voice of Creation” will be held.

In honor of the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation on September 1, which marks the beginning of “Created Time” (from September 1 to October 4), the Commission for Ecumenism and Dialogue of the Archdiocese of Zagreb, in collaboration with the Association for the Preservation of the Planet “And God Created the Earth,” organizes the Third Ecumenical Music and Prayer Meeting “Listen to the Voice of Creation,” scheduled for Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the parish church of Our Lady of Sljeme, on Sljeme.

The initiative “Created Time” unites 2.2 billion Christians worldwide in prayer and action for the protection and preservation of our common home, planet Earth. It begins on September 1, World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, and lasts until October 4, the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi. Christian believers from the Catholic Church, as well as Orthodox and Protestant churches in the Zagreb area, regularly join this observance through musical and prayer meetings, where they pray and worship God, the Creator of all. The leaders come from the Catholic, Serbian Orthodox, Macedonian Orthodox, Evangelical (Lutheran), Reformed Christian Calvinist, and Baptist churches, with the musical program enhanced by the group “God’s Victory.” This initiative aims to encourage Christians to renew their deeper relationship with the Creator and His creation through worship, personal spiritual conversion, and collective ecologically responsible action.
